The quiet power of good data
Most model problems are data problems in disguise. Investing here pays off everywhere else.
When a model underperforms, the instinct is to reach for a bigger architecture. More often, the answer is upstream: noisy labels, missing cases, or a distribution that no longer matches reality.
We spend a disproportionate amount of time on data quality because it has the highest leverage. Clean, well-understood data makes every downstream choice easier.
It is unglamorous work, but it is where durable performance comes from.
